As part of the Technical Forum, on 28 January 2026, Enrico Cappellini, Commercial Director at IKOI, will take part as a speaker, presenting an innovative and sustainable process for the production of silver and gold cast bars.

The seminar, titled
“From cast granules to MECHANICAL SAND® – Sustainable innovation in the production of silver and gold cast bars”, will illustrate a groundbreaking technology developed by IKOI in collaboration with GOLD CORPORATION – The Perth Mint.

The presentation will focus on a new process that replaces traditional casting grains with an advanced material known as precious mechanical sand, obtained through Density Booster® technology. This solution delivers significant ESG benefits, including reduced energy consumption, the elimination of environmental and occupational risks, increased productivity, extended
equipment lifespan and the complete absence of residual waste.

A direct comparison between conventional casting processes and the mechanical sand approach will be presented, highlighting performance improvements and future development opportunities, including applications for gold cast bars.
